Hi, my name is Lisa, I live in Loughrea and have done so all my life. I’m the oldest of 3 children.
I started a childcare course when I finished secondary school and on my work experience in a childcare setting, I knew this was the area I wanted to work in.
I began working in a creche full time in 2003, progressing to management in 2008.
In 2017 an opportunity came up to join the team in Mulberry and I took it. I started in the Toddler room. In 2019 Liz Leahy asked me to be Manager of Mulberry alongside her,and I was delighted to accept
I learned so much from her in the short time we worked together in the office and for that I will be forever grateful.
I really enjoy meeting parents and welcoming children in every day. Its very rewarding to know the children are happy, feel safe here and are encouraged to reach their full potential.
I have two children Éabha and Saoirse who come to Mulberry with me every day and they love it as much as me!
My hobbies include cooking, walking and watching documentaries.
I have a black belt in Karate and Kubudo (weaponry) and in my spare time teach Karate to children and adults in Loughrea
